  1. Why the hate for nitrates? Isn't it true that our bodies produce WAY more nitrates than you will get from some cured meat? How about celery, isn't celery full of nitrates? Why is it different? Not trolling here, I really am curious.

2 weeks into Keto and been watching all your videos and I feel great and am shedding pounds!

  2. I've decided at the point of 259 lbs. to stop and reverse course. I always asked myself why those suffering from gross obesity never saw the turning point and I understand why. They felt content with where they were. They understood the biggest pants they can fit into will allow a little more growth and so on and so on until… sweatpants. This is where I was heading and I forced myself to look in the mirror and allow myself to see the disgust I was allowing.

I changed my diet and started eating what I thought was right only to find that I was so hungry in between meals. I found myself so tired and cranky. Is this how I should live? No thanks. I started watching Dr. Berg videos and the first one that caught my attention was Apple Cider Vinegar. His knowledge and teaching showed me something I could do from what I already had in my pantry. I drank the ACV religiously and found that I lost 5 lbs in the first week. I was happy and started watching more and more of Dr. Bergs videos. I learned the foods that were supposed to be good for you are really bad for you and the foods that are supposed to be bad for you are actually good for you.

Bacon, Butter, and Red Meat…good for you. Who knew?

Whole wheat bread, soy, corn…bad for you. Who knew?

My advice is to start somewhere you think you need. Don't even think about exercising just yet. Try the ACV and changing up a few things from Dr Bergs videos. Lose a few pounds and feel the difference. The desire to exercise will come once you have the confidence that you are on track. Once you have lost a few pounds and feel better, try some walking and jogging. This will make you feel much better knowing that you are showing results in weigh loss and are exercising a little which in turn results in more and more of each: nutrition and exercise.

Find some activity that is fun and that is exercise. My daughter and I go bowling. Weird I know but she shows so much activity. She rolls her ball and runs to my arms. I can feel her hear beating so fast and she's loving it. This activity made me check my own heart rate while bowling and it was amazing. The little things you think that don't do much actually benefit a lot.

One more piece of advice from Dr. Bergs videos…don't give up on weight loss if the scale shows no change. You will be losing fat and gaining muscle. Check out his videos on this subject alone.

Don't give up if you cheat a bit. I've done it myself and it makes me more determined to continue. It's easier to fall behind a little than to restart the race. This may sound cliche but if I can do it, anyone can. I haven't arrived at my destination but I have left. Make the change for your life and the one's that you love.

I have lost over 18 lbs and feel better. My goal is to be 200 lbs. which aligns with my body type and height… I have some distance to goal but I have help with Dr. Berg's videos and my own determination.

  3. A lot of discrepancy here, Dr Berg. Hot dog sausages are processed and I thought cream was no good on keto and you've said in several videos that you eat once a day, this is very confusing, what do you 'actually' eat? Contradicting.

  4. Is it weird to say that my pork and dairy intolerance has significantly improve since starting Keto 2 weeks ago. I’m still learning and trying the fasting which isn’t too hard. Thanks for the good info!

  5. Thanks i needed this good tailoring info. Also nutritional intake Must Be Watched sometimes as we start to enhance our diets and smoothies with good vitamins. Some of which have limits like vitamin A inexcess and certain Bs can lead serious problems. So hints for your next vid

  6. Thanks so much for creating such a wonderful channel.
Your diet is great however im surprised you dont make your own dressings. I use extra virgin olive oil, apple cider vinegar, dijon mustard, celtic sea salt, fresh herbs….in a jar. I vary it alot creating wonderful combinations. I wouldnt touch bottled dressings..too many additives. Possibly you have better quality dressing than we have here in Australia.
    Keep up the great work!

  7. Thanks doc.Just turned 50 and first time in my life I'm getting a belly. Great vid on what I need to start eating. Loved your apple cider vinegar vid. I don't drink enough. Going to start daily.

  8. I think what you eat Dr Berg is great if you can get those products . I live in Australia in a town of about 80,000 people and have never seen grass feed cheese products anywhere. I really like your videos and find the information great. There is only one thing, you said that if the cheese is 100% grass fed it's organic but over here it must be clearly labelled as organic as some of our cows can graze off grass that has been grown them.

  9. so what is your total daily caloric consumption, seems that amount of food you eat that you be overweight, Keto or not! do you exercise?

  10. didn't really know where to put this but I hope you can answer:
Does chewing Licorice Root break your fast? I am trying to become more healthy and break my smoking habit, Licorice Root helps but does it break my fast?

  11. i want to try Keto … i can't lose the 10 lbs . i'm not big or overweight but only by a little , and i can't lose the last 10 lbs . It seems to be the hardest bit of weight to lose. from Wales .

  12. You take a sleep aid???? Do you need one? Best clarify what you take bc ppl may get derailed on that one! Thx! Fun to see what you eat.

  13. No offense, but in my opinion, Keto lifestyle is not for poor people… As much as I would love to be able to,I can't afford eating clean stuff like grass fed, organic meat or wild salmon everyday….plus all Dr.Berg's supplements that are certainly not cheap…I'm just sad to realize, healthy not always but in most cases, means wealthy.

  14. Hello Dr. Eric Berg, my name is Tatiane Dawson, I am an old fan of you, and I love all you do to help people. One question my sister have something in her mouth that apparently is cancerous according to her doctor, but they still need to do a test to be sure. It is any diet that you could tell me to advise her to do it, that helps if could be cancer? Thank you so much. I am Brazilian so I will need to translate all your advice to my sister.

  15. Dr. Berg, you mentioned that you take a sleep aid prior to bedtime. Could you please share what that is? Thank you
