In Today’s video I will be sharing three easy lunch box recipes that are healthy and yummy too.

1- Rava/ Semolina Pizza

In a bowl take 1 cup of Rava/ Sooji or Semolina.Add 1/2 cup yogurt + salt and mix. Then slowly add water to make the consistency as shown in video. Let this mixture sit for 15-20 minutes. After that add 1/2 tsp baking soda or Fruit salt and some more water. Give it a mix. Now heat a pan and lightly grease it. Spread this mixture. Once cooked flip the side. Now spread ketchup, cheese, veggies, mixed herbs, black pepper and salt. Top with another layer of cheese. Let it cook until the cheese melts. Pizza is ready to serve.

Potato Cheese Frankie/ Wrap

Take two boiled potatoes, Add ginger garlic paste and spices like red chilli powder, roasted cumin , coriander , chaat masala, dry mango powder, cilantro leaves, salt. Mix it well so that no lumps are there. Now form rolls from this potato mixture and shallow fry them so that they turn a bit crispy.
Now for the dressing; in a bowl take shredded carrots, onions , If you have cabbage you can include that as well. Add black salt , chaat masala, lemon juice. Mix and keep it like this for 15 minutes.
Now either take a whole wheat Tortilla, or a plain Roti, or Paratha and assemble the wrap. Spread some ketchup, some greens, salad dressing , roll, some dip/ chutney of your choice and make a wrap. kids love the wrap and its easy for them to eat as well.

Vermicelli Upma/ Jave

Take a wok, put a little oil, Add mustard seeds, urad dal and chana dal . Once it starts to crackle, add onions, curry leaves, green chilli and ginger. Saute for few minutes then add veggies of your choice. Let the veggies cook for a while.Do not make them too mushy . Now add a cup of water and let it simmer. Finally add the vermicelli. Let them cook for 5-10 minutes. And then turn off the stove. Finally for last few minutes let them cook in their own steam. Garnish it with fresh cilantro and cashews.

Doing us proud 🙂 Abhi to mummy ne fridge aur freezer stock kar diye mere liye dorm men cos I have exams but hopefully I can use your organisation tips and my mums recipes and show her Im not completely dependant haha XD and next time she visits me it can be to rest!

  2. I recently came across ur videos and being an Indian myself, I am so proud of ur work..!! keep it up , u r inspiration for many people..!

    Because you have influence over so many of your viewers and their eating habits, I have few suggestions:-

    1. One thing that i want to suggest is that please try to use glass containers for packing lunches. When microwaved plastic of any kind (even food grade) releases toxins into food. The more you read the more you will be shocked how harmful plastic is(especially for growing kids)

    2. Please try to use cast iron utensils, these are readily available in US and are healthy alternatives to aluminum.

    3. Please try to use some sort of filter for drinking water. Tap water is not completely safe to consume.

    I have learnt all my lessons the hard way. I request you to please do ur research on all three topics I mentioned and help educate our fellow indians about health hazards of chemicals and plastics and pollutants.
